Details

Sped up mobile start time

Mobile start time was suffering in proportion to the number of peers (Team Members) your app was connecting with. This has been optimized.

Zone creation banner progress

We made some additional optimizations to the Zone creation / join banner that shows until the Zone is ready to use. Overall, the banner will now clear more quickly and usually allow the Zone to be used in less than a minute.

Chat greeting updates

The app now shows a user's chat greeting always at the very top of the chat history. It is also visible by hovering over the "?" icon by the team member's name.

Fix: Mark unread updates

It was challenging to mark a message unread - it would often be re-marked as "read" before you could leave the chat. This has been fixed, although there is still an issue in this area that will be fixed in the next release.

Fix: New message notification stuck

The new message notification would sometimes be shown on an active chat, and the notification would not disappear until the chat was left and then re-entered. This notification now auto clears if the chat is active.

Fix: Private chat formation for accounts with linked devices

Private chats would sometimes not allow a device to send messages. There was a bug in the permissions lookup if the account (identity contract) had multiple devices - sometimes the last device in the list would not be validated and would not allow that device to send messages.

Fix: List all folders on non-sync Zones when using the OS "share"

If a Zone was in lite-zone / non-sync mode, the OS "share" button (e.g. on Android/iOS) would not render the folders and therefore the only place you could place a folder was in the base path. This has now been fixed and non-sync Zones will list all folders in that view.
